Backing women on the tools. Strengthening the future of the trades.

SHOS

SupportHER On Site

SupportHER On Site exists to strengthen the culture women step into when they choose a career on the tools.

Getting more women into trades matters.

Making sure they can build long, successful careers there matters just as much.

Our mission is to bring tradies, businesses, brands and industry leaders together around a shared expectation of what a strong worksite looks like - professional, respectful, accountable and supportive of the people working within it.

SupportHER On Site makes that commitment visible.

Our Core Values

Respect

Everyone deserves to be treated as a professional and valued for the contribution they make.

Respect should be reflected in the way people speak, lead, teach, work and respond when something isn't right.

Professionalism

Strong worksites hold themselves to a high standard.

That means taking pride in the quality of the work, the way people conduct themselves and the environment they create for others.

Opportunity

Women should have genuine opportunities to learn, contribute, develop their skills and progress within the trades.

Support isn't simply opening the door. It's giving people the opportunity to build something once they're through it.

Accountability

Strong culture requires people who are prepared to take responsibility for the environment they create.

When something isn't working, we believe in listening, addressing it and doing better.

Leadership

Culture is shaped by what leaders encourage, what teams accept and what people are willing to challenge.

Supporting women on site requires leadership that can be seen in everyday behaviour — not just written in a policy.

Support

Sometimes support is practical. Sometimes it's speaking up. Sometimes it's teaching someone properly, making sure they have what they need to do their job, or being the person they know they can approach.

SupportHER is about making that support visible.

What It Means to SupportHER

By carrying the SupportHER name, your business is making a visible statement about the kind of industry you want to help build.

It demonstrates to your team, customers, clients and wider community that your business supports workplaces where:

• women are recognised as capable professionals
• respect and professionalism are part of everyday worksite culture
• apprentices and developing tradespeople are supported to learn and grow
• opportunities are created for women to build meaningful, long-term careers in the trades
• people are encouraged to speak up and contribute
• leaders understand the role they play in shaping workplace culture
• practical barriers facing women on the tools are taken seriously
• strong teams are built through support, accountability and mutual respect

SupportHER alignment gives businesses a way to make those values visible.

It says:

This is what we stand for.
This is the kind of workplace and industry we want to contribute to.
And we’re proud to put our name behind it.

What Alignment Represents

Every business, partner and sponsor associated with SupportHER On Site is committed to strive to:

Stand behind the mission.
Act in a way that is consistent with the purpose and values of SupportHER On Site.

Treat people professionally.
Support a culture where women and men are treated with respect and where inappropriate behaviour isn't simply accepted as part of working in the trades.

Take concerns seriously.
Have a reasonable way for workers to raise issues and respond appropriately when legitimate concerns arise.

Support development.
Give women entering or progressing within the trades genuine opportunities to learn, participate and build their careers.

Lead by example.
Recognise that workplace culture is created through everyday actions - from business owners and supervisors through to the wider team.

Be willing to improve.
No workplace gets everything right. Being part of SupportHER means being open to reflection, conversation and improvement.

Industry Aligned Businesses

SupportHER Industry Alignment is for trade businesses and organisations that want to visibly stand behind the SupportHER values.

Alignment means your business supports the mission, accepts the expectations of the network and is prepared to uphold those principles within the areas you can influence.

It is not a certification that a workplace is perfect, nor is it a substitute for an organisation's legal workplace obligations.

It is a visible commitment to the standard your business wants to uphold.

Industry Partners

SupportHER Industry Partners take that commitment further.

Our partners contribute products, services, knowledge, expertise or practical opportunities that strengthen the SupportHER community and help women build successful careers in the trades.

We expect our partners not only to align with the SupportHER values, but to demonstrate them through the way they operate and the contribution they make to the industry.

Partnership is collaborative.

We look for organisations that want to help build something meaningful — not simply place their logo beside it.

Corporate Sponsors

Corporate Sponsors help SupportHER reach further.

Their support enables Pink Tradie Ladie and SupportHER On Site to expand industry engagement, develop resources, create initiatives and bring the conversation into more workplaces across Australia.

Because sponsors are highly visible representatives of the initiative, we expect them to demonstrate genuine alignment with the SupportHER mission and values.

Sponsorship represents visible leadership.

It should reflect more than financial support. It should show a willingness to contribute to the kind of industry SupportHER is working to build.

Protecting the SupportHER Standard

The SupportHER badge means something because the values behind it matter.

Pink Tradie Ladie may raise questions with a business, partner or sponsor where credible concerns are brought to our attention about behaviour that appears inconsistent with the SupportHER mission and values.

Where appropriate, we will seek to understand the circumstances and give the organisation an opportunity to respond.

Our focus is improvement, accountability and maintaining the integrity of the network.

Where serious concerns arise, or where an organisation demonstrates an ongoing unwillingness to uphold the values of SupportHER On Site, Pink Tradie Ladie reserves the right to suspend or end its association with that organisation.

SupportHER On Site is not an auditing, regulatory or workplace investigation body.

It is an industry initiative built around a clear expectation:

If you carry the SupportHER name, you should be prepared to stand behind what it represents.
