Who am i?

I’m Zarah — the Pink Tradie Ladie.

I didn’t walk onto site planning to become “the girl in pink with the tools.” I was there to drop off a delivery… next minute I’m cutting and bending steel, terrified I’d mess it up.

But when I finished, I felt something I hadn’t expected — proud.
Like I’d actually contributed.
Like I’d earned a tiny place in something real
That feeling pulled me back.

Showing up scared turned into showing up stronger.
Learning on the fly turned into skills I never thought I’d have.
And standing out as the only woman on site turned into choosing to stand out my way.

That’s where the pink came in — one hot pink shirt that reminded me I didn’t have to blend in just to belong.

Before long, tradies recognised me as the Pink Tradie Ladie — the one who showed up, learned, mucked it up, fixed it, and kept going.

But something bigger clicked for me:
Women need support on site — not pity, not special treatment, just visible backing while they learn, grow, and earn their place.

That’s why I created the Support-HER On Site bands.

They’re a small thing with a big meaning:
A way for women to feel supported.
A way for men to show they back us.
A way to encourage more women to enter a trade knowing they are supported.

A reminder that you don’t have to shrink yourself to fit into an outdated stereotype of what a tradie “should” be.

Every band says - “You belong here. You’re supported. You’re not doing this alone.”
